Smart Scan
Tap Scan Documents to photograph a receipt, cert, or WSIB form. The AI reads the dates, names the file, and files it into the right category automatically.
Worksites
Create a worksite and set it as current. New records attach to it automatically. Track costs, certs, and compliance per worksite from the Worksites hub.
Attention Required
Expired documents, overdue invoices, and missing signatures surface here automatically. Keep it clear. It is your compliance safety net for site reviews.
Proof Packet
Tap Proof Packet when Ministry or MTO arrives. It opens a secure proof-only view that is safe to hand over on site.

Common questions
Yes. Everything runs on secure Microsoft Azure infrastructure, encrypted in transit and at rest. Your uploaded documents are stored in Azure's Canada Central region (Toronto). We never share or sell your data, and Azure OpenAI never uses your data to train AI models. You own everything in your vault. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Yes. Blue Crane is a Progressive Web App (PWA). Install it from your browser using the Install App button on the About & Legal page in Settings. It works like a native app, including the camera for Smart Scan. No app store required.
The Bulk Smart Sorter lets you drop a stack of photos or PDFs (receipts, certs, forms) all at once. The AI identifies each document, extracts the key fields, and files everything into the right categories automatically. A job box full of paper in under a minute. Available on Business plans and up.
Blue Crane monitors every record with an expiry date. When a document hits your configured milestones (e.g. 90, 30, 7 days out), you get an email and push notification. Set your milestones and delivery channels on the Notifications page in Settings.
Yes. Cancel any time from Manage Billing & Invoices on the Account & Plan page in Settings. No cancellation fees. You keep full access until the end of your billing period, and you have a 30-day window after cancellation to export your data before it is permanently removed.
Legal & privacy
PIPEDA-Aligned Privacy
Blue Crane collects only what it needs to run your vault: your account details and the compliance documents you upload. Your data is used strictly to automate alerts, organize documents, and generate reports. We never sell your data, and it is only shared when you choose to share it, such as an Inspector Handoff. You can access, correct, or delete your data at any time.
Security & Data Storage
All data is encrypted in transit and at rest with AES-256 encryption. Uploaded files and documents are stored in Microsoft Azure's Canada Central region (Toronto, Ontario). Application database records and AI processing use Microsoft Azure services in the United States (East US region). Our infrastructure is independently audited for SOC 2, ISO/IEC 27001, and ISO/IEC 27018 compliance. Azure OpenAI never uses your data to train AI models.
Data Retention
Your records stay in your vault as long as your account is in good standing. If you cancel, you have a 30-day grace period to export your data. After that, all documents are permanently purged from our servers and cannot be recovered.
Danger Zone
Permanently delete your account and all vault data. This cannot be undone. Email us to request deletion and we will confirm and process it within 2 business days.
