FAQ
Yes. All files are stored in Google Firebase (Canadian data region), encrypted at rest and in transit. We never share or sell your data. You own everything in your vault — see our Privacy Policy for full details.
Yes. Blue Crane is a Progressive Web App (PWA). Install it from your browser using the Install App button in the App Info section below — it works like a native app, including the camera for Smart Scan. No app store required.
You can still view all existing records but won't be able to add new ones until you upgrade. The Free tier includes 10 records and 5 Smart Scans. Start a free 7-day Business trial or upgrade to a paid plan for unlimited storage and scans.
The Bulk Smart Sorter lets you drop a stack of photos or PDFs (receipts, certs, forms) all at once. The AI identifies each document, extracts the key fields, and files everything into the right categories automatically — a job box full of paper in under a minute. Available on Business plans.
Blue Crane monitors every record with an expiry date. When a document hits your configured milestones (e.g. 90, 30, 7 days out), you get an email and push notification. You can set your milestones and toggle delivery channels in the Notification Settings card above.
Yes. Cancel any time from the Manage Billing & Invoices button above (paid users) — no cancellation fees. Your data remains in read-only access until the end of your billing period, after which the vault reverts to the Free tier limits.
Legal & Privacy
PIPEDA-Aligned Privacy
Blue Crane collects only the information required to operate the vault. Your documents and business data are stored in Canada and are never shared with third parties without your consent. You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data at any time.
Data Retention
Records remain in your vault until you delete them. If your account is closed, your data is purged from our servers within 30 days. Backups are retained for 7 days after deletion as a safety net.
Danger Zone
Permanently delete your account and all vault data. This cannot be undone. Email us to request deletion — we will confirm and process within 2 business days.
